A little more about me -
Hi there! I was born and raised in the good ol’ state of Iowa. While it might not be everyone’s favorite, I’ve come to truly appreciate what it has to offer; especially getting to experience all four seasons and the activities that come with each one. And I’ll admit, living in a place with no mountains or beaches definitely makes me appreciate them even more when I get the chance to travel!
As you may have seen, my background is in education. I’ve worked as both a teacher and an instructional coach, but not in your typical classroom. I teach industrial technology, or as many people know it, “shop class.” Through this role, I’ve gained hands-on experience in project design and construction, as well as insight into fields like manufacturing, woodworking, architecture, and general construction.
Outside of work, I enjoy cooking, outdoor recreation, and gardening. I love trying new recipes, especially when I can use fresh produce from my garden. Recently, I’ve even started experimenting with canning! I’m also really passionate about health and wellness. While I wouldn’t call myself an expert, I’ve spent the last five or so years learning everything I can, and I’m always eager to keep growing in that space.
